3. Tips for a Proper Squat
Squatting is one of the most productive if not the best exercises out there (especially if you do it right). Yet it is one of the most difficult moves to execute properly. If you are looking to get the full benefit out of your squat, please take several training sessions practicing with an empty bar or broomstick. It's very important to get your technique down while the weights are still light so you do not end up with injuries. The heavier the weight your small mistakes with have huge consequences. Much of the bad press the squat has received in the media is a result of improper technique and not the exercise itself.
Small Thing - Huge Impact
1. SPINE IS IN ALIGNMENT
From your head down to the tail bone should be a nice straight line.

2. CHEST UP
While in the squat keep your chest up. that will give you a little arche in your lower back.

3. PUSH THROUGH HEELS

When you are coming up lift the toes a little and push up through your heels. This will make your squat more effective.
