Sweat.  It used to be something I wasn’t proud of and always tried to hide.  It’s smelly. It’s salty at times. It’s sticky. And frankly, it’s bothersome.  However, it’s also something we should be proud of and see as an accomplishment. For anyone that’s ever had a really, and I mean really good workout, it’s magical.  It’s literally the sweet sweat of success.  For me, however, I have always been one that sweats a little in certain places while others remain dry.  I notice changes in my body (I’m way too in tune with it) right away and am on the scale far too often. And when my clothes feel a bit bigger – that’s a windfall for me.

If you’re anything like me, you also want to know that you are sweating evenly.  No…make that productively. You want your sweat to not only accomplish something, but also be a sign of something you’ve already accomplished.  While drinking 100 ounces of water a day will produce some sweat, it does not, in any way, shape, or form, target specific areas. As a lifestyle and health blogger, I’ve tried it all – and if I haven’t – I am sure it’s coming soon.  However, never, in the ten years I’ve been writing about this space, have I found a product that actually helps target problem areas to increase sweat production in them. Seriously. Never. Until now.

My journey into the world of specifically targeted sweat began after I received a product called SweatZone.  And if you don’t like spoilers, feel free to skip the next sentence. Everything, and I mean everything, about this product – from the name to the way this gel works – is very real.  It’s all natural and comes in a tub waiting to be rubbed into problem areas any time of the day or night. Yes, I even tried it at night, and it worked, but truth be told, I prefer daytime use.  I used it before my workouts with my trainer for almost two months, several times a week, and found that I did sweat more where I had applied it. I also lost more, and tightened a bit, in those areas as well.  And, it didn’t stain my clothes. Knowing my SweatZone was present and accounted for actually made me more aware of my workout and what I wanted to accomplish. In other words, it motivated me to work harder to see if I could sweat even more!  It also made me take measurements more frequently to see if it was working. And work it did!

Sweat is one of the ways our bodies release toxins.  It’s a byproduct of our work and with somewhere between 2,000,000 and 5,000,000 sweat glands throughout the body, sweating is somewhat inevitable.  Not necessarily evenly, but you will sweat. And, contrary to popular belief, the heavier you are, the less you will sweat. That’s right, the further you get from being physically fit, the more challenging a good sweat becomes.  Sweat is also your body’s way of cooling down.  So, when you heat up an area, using a product like SweatZone, the sweat you produce actually cools it down.  And by cooling down, it can shrink any swelling around that area as well. Finally, the amount you sweat, and the type of sweat, is pre-determined by your genetic markers.  So, for someone like me, who sweats a lot in a few areas, but none at all in most, my best hope is to find a product like SweatZone, which works with my body as a natural sweat enhancer.

For now, my main goal is to keep using this product…in the gym…on the treadmill…on the bike…and on the weekend.  In fact, I can’t recommend it enough. I’ve told friends and co-workers to try it as well. And, while my body will always be a work in progress, I do see improvement in the almost two months since I’ve been using the product. While I don’t use a lot of SweatZone at a time, it still works.  The product is safe, reasonably priced, and doesn’t take up a lot of space in my gym bag. (Okay I’m one of those guys with a small gym bag and a lot of changes of clothes.)
